Does anyone find it interesting that a lot of college students identify as Ravenclaw or Slytherin? It seems like you have to be part of one of those houses to be in the in crowd. I’m just saying I’m Gryffindor

Hufflepuff

I don't identify with any of the houses but my patronus is Bruce Lee so nobody would dare leave me out of anything.

Be like water.

If you're defining your life by Harry Potter, then you may as well give it up now.

I think people just like to be part of something. its not all bad though.

I love being Ravenclaw. I even signed up for Pottermore just to take the official test, even though I already knew what it would be. I know I'm a giant dork. Potter is a pleasure.

The House of Fists. Let's see who gets this without the internet's help.

Actually the net may not be much help.

Clue: It's name is Dauphin.

Wow I feel old lol...what? I need to google these terms.

I've never been a Apath trying to fit in.

I always do my own thing.

Part of me would love to have been Slytherin, but snakes scare the shit out of me. If I see a stick in the form of a snake I will scream like a little girl... As to Ravenclaw, better Ravenclaw than Hufflepuff... Just my opinion.

Don't come to Australia - we have hoop snakes. They are terrifying; they wrap their tails in the mouths and roll down a hill toward you.

Keep away from those Slytherin types, tellin’ ya! ?

I think a lot of it actually comes from the emotions people are feeling at the time. A lot of people go for slythies because it reflects a disassociation with people, bitterness and anger..or stress. Especially in todays climate its easy to just try and shrug off the world. Or perhaps theyre drawn to the strength and decisiveness and power to make that they promise in the world. I used to ID as slytherin not because I felt I belonged there, but because I wanted to belong there.
I'd say the ravenclaw goes the same way but less towards power and more towards mystery and curiosity. Most of the ravenclaws I've met want the world to be something different than it is.

Are those experiences lining up with you guys? Or not at all.

Seriously? Everyone I meet is hufflepuff.

Most fans doesn't just CHOOSE their house. They believe Pottermore. And honestly I refused to accept being ravenclaw for decades. I just can't get away though from how accurate it is.

And nothing is a bigger turn off than avoiding something just because it's mainstream. Saying you're griffindor just because you want to, lyke, be different is lyke so 2007.

Oh sure... nobody wants to be in Hufflepuff!

Not a clue.. thought about googling it but...naahhh... I am sure I am way passed those things, whatever they may be anyway (Over the hill and there is nothing I can do about it)

I'm apparently Slytherin but I never went to college...Too smart for that.

New friends?

Hope that answers that ?

Couldn't tell ya, I'm Slytherin and I've never been to anything beyond a two-year school.

So u dropped out of high school?

@Blakadow no, a two-year college. Community college sort of thing.

@memorylikeasieve BORING conversation and can't focus

I took a quiz on a site that said I was Gryffindor, but I don’t exactly identify as it since I’m not particularly invested in the Harry Potter universe, but it’s cool.

I’m Ravenclaw because I’m intellectual. I didn’t know that was the thing. Then I’m way out of college. But it kind of makes sense. College students being intellectual and ambitious.
