I don't think I totally agree with this one... The wealth of the family you are born into has a lot to do with one's destiny ... Beyond that, it is mostly true ...

Luck is everything. It is a delusion to think that we are really in control of our lives. You have to remember that Aristotle was very much born a rich kid, so that is one thing he may not have had a good perspective on. Though it is true he did have some ups and downs, which were due to choice, especially his choice of patrons.

That's the only thing you think is the problem with that theory??

The time you were born, the location, the color of your skin, the parts in your pants, the genetics you got, the diseases you came across and whether or not they infected you and how your given immune system responded to them, your intelligence, your height and looks... I could probably go on for hours about all the things that could drastically alter the outcome of your life that aren't "choice".
