Three young persons, a man and two women, were sitting across from me at the coffeehouse for an hour or so. I was trying to get some writing done but I heard bits of their conversation; most of what I caught was about football. When they were getting ready to leave they asked me to take a picture of them with the man's camera phone, so I did. Then another, with a small digital camera belonging to one of the women. The man stood between the women; they all had their arms around each other. The women were quite pretty, both long-haired brunettes in their twenties.
"Enviable gender ratio," I said right after I took the picture.
"Well, just friends," said the man. I SWEAR I hadn't yet noticed their LDS Church name badges.
Thank your lucky stars they didn't try to convert you to their wacko cult. You dodged a bullet bro.
They did invite me to some kind of church event, but I passed.
@AlanCliffe Good choice. Sometimes we make our own luck.
