Smartphones and social media have taken a toll on young people's development. But one man has an idea about how to fix Gen Z. In his new book, "The Anxious Generation," social psychologist Jonathan Haidt investigates the sudden collapse of mental health among adolescents. The author joins Hari Sreenivasan to discuss ways for parents to head off the damage.
We sure have a mental health crisis among young adults and teenagers here in the US, even though a number of our politicians wish to deny such. Whilst I can agree that unchecked social media usage among teens and young adults could become potentially dangerous, I think the bigger problem is/was poor parenting. Parents these days are raising a crop of some fruity ass fragile kids who freakout over the slightest provocation.
