I see this attention they are getting as just another indication of a lazy, agenda driven press. I have a great old friend who went through a very bad divorce and emerged by claiming to be "born again". He's still the same great guy he always was, but the religion helped him bridge the trauma without becoming dysfunctional.

I think they're part of it. People see the extreme viewpoints and hypocrisy, and get turned off.

Evangelicals and fundamentalist are pushing people away. Their world view doesn’t match reality and they present no falsifiable evidence to support their claims. Any rational person rejects their rhetoric.

A bunch of bat shit crazy hypocrites with a fantasy that the world will have to be destroyed before it can be made into a paradise? I can't see why people wouldn't find that kind of religion to be attractive, sure makes me want to believe in their homicidal god. NOT! 😀

Ihad never thought of this, but I can believe it.

I prefer to think that people are finally recognizing that most religions are bs. (BS== Based on lieS)

Maybe it's partially because they see the hypocrisy of folks like Franklin Graham and Pat Robertson that they realize it's a load of crap.

@eric788 lol true that
