Men's Cologne
Women, do you have a favorite cologne that does it for you? Mine has always been the original Old Spice. Love that fragrance!
My late partner had an extremely sensitive nose and perfume smells gave her a headache. The best cologne for her was eau de clean.
The first guy I ever slow-danced with was wearing it....almost 60 years later I am instantly aware if a guy is wearing it within 50'!
My dad wore Old Spice so I don't particularly like it on a date type of guy. Something subtle is fine. I'm not a huge fan of perfumed men.
Thats a funny but well understood and thought comment. In all my years I remember the commercials, my grandma used to sell Avon, I am sure those were my first ever colognes came from. At some point I must had wore it because the so distinctive bottle but it was never something popular on my "sophisticated" circle of friends of my teenage years. I remember the criticism. In my high school years "Fleur du tobac" was my first ever favorite! Was very manly I guess for a 16 year old. I remember being a BD gift from a GF and became my choice of fragance.
I don't wear cologne. After years of meeting women whose perfume or cologne was a complete turnoff, l thought about how women might feel the same about my cologne, so about 40 years ago l quit wearing cologne. For me it's fragrance free soap and fragrance free deoderant.
I don't like fake fragrance much.
A man that naturally smells of cookies and dirt is a keeper though.
Leaning in for that sniff can be awkward..
Trying to imagine the type of man that would smell of dirt and cookies.....
Construction worker with a part time job at a bakery???
@Proto It's not like that. It is from the pores at rest.
Working or agitated they may smell like two week old boiled cabbage and unwashed skunk butt.
That's OK too
I have a farm so dirt and horse manure smell like home to me. And I bake medicinal cookies. I guess we'd get alone just fine on fragrance and pheromones.
I always wore Hugo Boss back in my prime. If i can find a women that enjoys the scent of diesel fuel and axle grease now then i'd consider myself lucky
And fingernails not perfect?
@BufftonBeotch i keep my fingernails trimmed and tidy. I hate filthy fingernails. Blame it on my military experience
@Proto That's good actually.
Looks like the good old colognes are holding their ground, next trip to Walmart I will get some.
