Wow there is actually alot of people in this small town that I live in Kentucky that said they would actually vote. For me for Sheriff and I am like non Religious . Lol
I donβt think the sheriff of my SW VA county is ..all that religious. If thereβs any good to come from the horrid national political scene, it may be that a lot of Americans will begin looking past the mantle of religion for honesty and competence. Keep us posted.
It's heartening to see that not all people in your small town are small minded ots but the question you need to answer for yourself before proceeding is, 'Are there enough decent people who will actually get out and vote for you in order for you to win?'. I've considered running for public office and one of the things I weigh in my mind beforehand is whether or not it the good I can do is worth the price of having my name dragged through the mud by the knuckle draggers of the town I live in. It goes with the territory when you enter public life.
Well why would people want a religious sheriff? just interested as I am in Australia.
You know over there in the US they are very big on religion.
@Jolanta Yea, itβs a strange place. We had so much secular potential.
In my county ..it would likely be to match the big βin god we trustβ painted on our police cruisers back-sides.. But the counties a quirky blend, they got their βsaying,β maybe we got our Sheriff
