While other knowledge could be a figment of imagination, deception, or mistake, Descartes asserted that the very act of doubting one's own existence served—at minimum—as proof of the reality of one's own mind; there must be a thinking entity—in this case the self—for there to be a thought.

Ahh there are so few thinking people left in the world today.
Thinkers today are labeled as conspiratory theorists, spreaders of fake news, anti semetic, antiherd, cultists etc etc
Tommorow??? We have A.I man has no need to thnk for themselves ever again.

@vocaloldfart Societies do that, condition people. Teenagers have always been rebellious. It is not natural to be this compliant. The Boston Tea Party, kicking off succeeding from England, was over a 3% tax. Just 3% caused revolt. How societies have changed..

Look at American politics can you point out one person who actually is capable of thought outside of either parties propaganda??
Judging by this forum members, I like to think there are some who are capable of thought but have just forgotten how.
Some true to that, thinking helps me laugh more than cry.
