Another life snuffed out by Vladimir Putin: Ukrainian journalist Victoria Roshchyna died in Russian custody. She would have been 28 this month.
I'm curious how much trump would sell Ukraine to Putin for if elected. 1 million ? 10 million ?
New Trump hotels in Moscow and Crimea.
That is a tragedy, the whole Russia/Ukraine conflict is a tragedy.
Journalism is a dangerous profession in war time

She didn't die in a war zone. She died in the custody of a criminal gang, Putin's gang, inside Russia. Like Alexy Navalny. Like so many others who dared to speak their minds in Putin's Russia.
@Flyingsaucesir Just following in Russiaβs long history of murderous leaders. Peace and anything resembling democracy has eluded them for most of history.
@Flyingsaucesir You are correct. I should have used the example of the American blogger Zelenskyy locked up and killed.
@Barnie2years Unlike the USA short history (compared to Europe/ Russia/ China/ Persia etc) which has been constant slaughter. No criminal leadership there.
@puff Apparently he was re-arrested for violating the conditions of his bail. They might have saved themselves the trouble if they had known he had pneumonia.
@puff I'll just highlight the fact that you imply a false equivalence by juxtaposing the American blogger with the Ukrainian journalist.
The Ukrainian journalist was chronicling the criminal invasion and genocide being perpetrated in her country when she was kidnapped and illegally held in captivity by the perpetrators of that genocide.
The American blogger was essentially acting as an agent of the criminal invaders, spreading the genocidal gang's propaganda inside the besieged country, when he was legally detained under martial law.
Nice try, but your false equivalence won't fly here.
Congratulations @puff! You have once again shown us you are incapable of being even remotely fair-minded or even-handed when it comes to any discussion about Russia/Ukraine.
We'll just take this as one more data point supporting the hypothesis that you are indeed a paid stooge of that same criminal Russian gang.
You are dismissed.
@Flyingsaucesir And your analysis illustrates how narrative driven decisions are made by the US establishment. All journalist killed in conflict are crimes, listen to your spokespeople. But if you watch their actions, they do not care and actively target journalists themselves. Heard of Julian Assange?
In the 21st century, bloggers are journalists. I condemn all journalists dying doing their jobs. Including the one just detained by the IDF. Including the ones now being killed in Lebanon by the IDF and the hundreds dead in Palestine aka Gaza/ West Bank/ East Jerusalem at IDF hands.
Our countries support defending against foreign invaders.............in Ukraine. But Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Syria? No, that's not on according to the "Wests" current moral code. So if any American wishes to lecture any in the world on false equivalencies, don't cry when us "others" view any moralistic advice with contempt.
@Flyingsaucesir Oh I'm dismissed? Fair enough, but when will American's understand the whole world is now dismissive of their "exceptionalism" eg who exactly the fuck do you think you are dismissing me? Arrogant cunt. My response? Tell someone who cares and get used to the world no longer caring about US imperial desires. We, the civilised world that does not enable genocide, will no longer will be catering to US "desires" in the very near future.
@puff Oh, I see I touched a nerve.
Being unmasked as a filthy tool of a criminal gang is a bitch, ain't it?
@Flyingsaucesir Antiwar is criminalised now by the US and genocide is kosher. Got it!
Oh, I see I wasn't really dismissed now. Just though your arrogance in that comment needed a bit of a smack down. Touch a nerve? Nah, not really. Gunna kick back and watch US domestic events unfold, prepare for the pain that will cause Australia whilst looking forward of the wonderful opportunities breaking free from empire will bring. There is a realistically possible optimistic future for Australia. Gunna enjoy witnessing the world's chief stand over merchants lose power and influence. Also optimistic the US may get it's shit together in the new multipolar world, as long as they don't initiate MAD which is looking doubtful.
An American accusing others of representing a "criminal gang" with their mafia led government who use stand over tactics (sanctions), collect protection money (bully other nations with aid and sell mandatory weapons to "allies" under contract aka NATO etc), big into human trafficking too and take out rivals ignoring "the law". So that is rich calling any other (besides Israel) as being in a "criminal gang" and why the US is now ignored by the international community..
Hubris is strong in this one.
@puff Yup, I definitely touched a nerve
