I wanted to let everyone know that I finally got ahold of our Agnostic friend Pamagain in Southern California. She tells me her home is gone due to the fires. She said her neighborhood is pretty much gone as well.
Please keep Pam and her partner John and their 3 fur babies in your thoughts. Pam is at a hotel and Fema is there helping people get paperwork done for assistance.
So sorry to hear this but she and her family are alive! This is so devastating but you mentioned that she is strong and will pull through! I'm hoping the best for everyone who are going through this too! Let me know if and when a GoFundMe is up, I will donate to help her.
And His Felonious Malignancy Donald J Trump wants to halt progress on building out green energy infrastructure. Instead he has promised to allow the oil and gas companies to "drill baby drill" (and, by extension, burn baby burn). They won't be happy until the entire surface of the planet is uninhabitable.
I've tried to not even think of the orange anus, and focus on what can be done to help those who are hurting now, and those who he will hurt in the future.
@Redheadedgammy I've been sick of the Orange Turd since the 80s. If was possible to shut him out of my consciousness, I would have done it decades ago.
Jaysus, that's terrible. Her being alive and well is great but losing her home isn't good at all. I hope she has insurance that covers this thing.
So many insurance companies have moved out of California so who knows if people have insurance these days. I just hope Pam had some insurance. Her house was so freaking cool. It's so sad to know it's all destroyed.
@Redheadedgammy, well, I don't know how it works in the US but I don't need my insurance company to be based in the same county as Dublin. Has to be based in the country, yes. Hopefully, she has an insurance and this will be covered.
At least she is safe. Many in this nightmare have lost everything. Video on TV shows this to an almost unbelievable state. It is so mind boggling. Losing your home and everything you have has made James Woods and others cry like babies. Well, you would to if it happened to you. Then along comes Trump and he blames Biden, Newsome, and even the LA mayor who was not home and visiting somewhere. That is sick of Donnie. I blame the fire and some high winds myself. We have some heros out there trying to fight this and they are doing the best they can.
She said her neighborhood is pretty much gone. Where she lived was on the parade route for the Rose Parade. It truly was a beautiful little neighborhood.
I am SO happy Pam and the whole family are safe! If this had to happen it's good it was while Biden is still the head of state. I am very sad she has lost her home. Let her know they are all in our thoughts.
Make her giggle over the prayers we won't be sending.
I have been wondering about all the people in So Cal especially the ones we have come to know here on this site.
When I spoke to her she sounded strong and grounded. That's Pam! She is getting paperwork done for FEMA help which is fantastic. She told me she would call once she gets settled somewhere. They are in a hotel now.
@Redheadedgammy Here's hoping you have no problems getting into the site when you have an update!!
@silverotter11 I was thinking the same thing! Today I have been able to get on twice. Hopefully, it stays like this.
I am glad to hear she is okay but sadden for the devastation her and her family are going through.
It's truly horrible. She's lost everything.
@Redheadedgammy
That is a horrible situation to be caught in. Starting over from scratch is no easy task. Has anyone started a go-fund-me on her behalf? Let me know if there is one.
@Betty That's a great idea Betty. I've never done anything like that, but if anyone is in the know about how to do it, I would certainly donate.
@Redheadedgammy I would donate as well.
@Redheadedgammy I will donate too, it won't be much but it is something.
It must be devastating for her and her partner, I canβt really put myself in her shoes, but I can certainly hope and wish she gets all help she and all the other people affected need to get through such an ordeal and to be able rebuild their lives and homes.
Pam is a strong person, and I know she will come through this horrible situation. I burst into tears just thinking about what she and thousands of others are dealing with. Losing everything is devastating.
@Redheadedgammy Heartbreaking..yes.
