If there was a god it would have just skipped this step and created everyone to believe in it from birth ,Just more proof that simple common sense and logical thinking proves there is no god .Also the free will argument that the religious love to use is also idiotic due the fact than an all knowing god would know the consequences of giving free will to its creations and would not do this due to the dire consequences.

Yeah, that makes sense. What would be the point in expecting worship from those you created if you didn't make a belief in yourself an innate quality. For a supposedly all knowing being, god seems to makes many mistakes and misjudgements. That is how we know that god is man made. A "perfect being" wouldn't hve so many imperfections.

I would think God would be so popular and desired to know, no recruiting would be necessary. Everyone would be signing up without any coercion or false pretenses.

What is the Jewish god then? Jews made up a god that said they were the chosen people and that god said go out and kill their enemies and take their land and women. There is no call to proselytize in that religion. It’s all about tribalism.

Christianity wants you to recruit or force others to convert to their religion because it’s more of a weapon of subjugation. Islam copied the game plan.

Why Christianity grew so much larger than Judaism. And Islamism is in some ways even worse, since they, like the Christians, believe in violence to convert. But while Christianity for the moment has used persuasion rather than killing as a means to gain followers, Islam still believes in killing the non-believers. By the way, I'm glad you actually got something posted instead of erased!

Early last year, I began watching videos from the "Desert Drifter". He produced spectacularly scenic videos of his hikes, often enhanced with drone footage. The imagery relaxed me and he narrated with a respect for nature and native artifacts. Some of the videos included nail-biting rock climbing where he clung to narrow ledges overlooking 50-100 foot drops. Occasionally, I had to look away...

Only in the last couple of videos did he reveal his Christian orientation and association with a Christian outreach organization. And we all know how asinine Christians get regarding misfortune. "God took them" and "They didn't pray enough, to the right God" ad nauseam. So, after avoiding death from his free-climbing, the Drifter got into an auto crash resulting in severe brain trauma. Given his talent in producing these videos, I was very saddened to hear this happened.

Religion is the world's longest running most successful pyramid scheme...

And just like with pyramid schemes, the only people who seem to benefit are those who a running them...

The original multi-level marketing. lol

@silverotter11 Multi-level marketing is just a legalized pyramid scheme....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Seems you and I know that was there are too many who can't think it through.

@silverotter11 Most people refuse to think because it is hard work and would rather someone do it for them...
