Much as I'm against gerrymandering, I'm glad California is not taking the Trump/Abbot dirty pool attempt to rig the mid-terms lying down. And if other red states try what Texas is doing, I hope other blue states respond in kind. Everything is on the line here, and the situation really does call for fighting fire with fire.

I just read an interesting article by Tom Nichols, of The Atlantic, where he discusses Newsom's trolling of Trump and the MAGA faithful by mimicking Trump's speech, writing, and meme styles. Apparently Gavin does Donald very well, and it's really getting under the thin acolyte skin; they're really pissed. Their reaction stands out in stark contrast to the sane washing that has gone on for so long, inspiring the author to speculate that they are "so close to getting it," or maybe even that, deep down, they do get it. In any case, it's heartening to think that another chink in His Felonious Malignancy's armour has been found and is being exploited to good effect. And it's good timing, while the repulsive scumbag is already back on his heels as the Epstein saga follows him around like toilet paper stuck to his shoe.

Apparently Newsom posted these on MAGA social media sites, where they went off like grenades.

In a 1200-page book outlining moral behavior, one would suppose that pedophilia would figure prominently. It doesn't. Other than non-specific passages generally opposing violence, the Bible does NOT talk about pedophilia. Preachers point to these non-specific passages when they need to grab a fig leaf to defend the Bible.
