Oooh haven't seen that in years!!! Need to again!
I used to truly love Woody Allen films.
I can't watch them anymore, because of the.... Woody Allen thing.
When Harry Met Sally.
I haven’t found WHMS available on Netflix or anything for years! Have you?
@DinnerandaMovie it appears on regular tv a lot...
Nottinghill, While You Were Sleeping, and Fifty First Dates.
Those are definitely my top three.
The Holiday (man I want to go to England and date Jude Law!) And He's Just not that into you, and The Proposal
Come to England anyway. I can't promise you'll meet Jude Law but we're a pretty awesome bunch generally!
LA Story is one of my favorite romantic comedies.
Sliding Doors
Love, Actually
Groundhog Day
Shaun of the Dead
As for romcoms, for me it's When Harry Met Sally.
Must Love Dogs is a favorite. I love Diane Lane at this age, and Under the Tuscan Sun is also a beloved favorite. If you like those, check out Salmon Fishing in The Yemen. Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor are pretty awesome.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl is extremely well done. Teenagers.
My favorite is Under the Tuscan Sun. I love how the main character lost everything and instead of giving up, she took a risk and started over. I used her as inspiration when the same thing happened to me.
Absolutely!
Way to go for you, too!
Zack and Miri Make a Porno
Notting Hill
The Shop Around the Corner
Last Holiday
The Holiday
The Shop Around the Corner!
Does not quite fit your criteria but The Princess Bride and Willow are my two favorite movies.
Sleepless in Seattle, Like Water for Chocolate, Casablanca
I love "romantic comedies" also..like Netflix series Jessica Jones and of course The L Word and Ray Donovan, mostly to see Katherine Moennig, who I adore.
I love The Last of the Mohicans. It isn't a comedy, but it is soooo romantic. I also love Friendly Persuasion. French Kiss was also a favorite.
French Kiss was a good movie.
French Kiss and Overboard are my all time favorites. (When I watch Overboard, I choose to pretend that what he did to her wasn't the most awful thing in the world).
My favorite rom-com is "Nobody's Fool" (1986). It stars Rosanna Arquette and Eric Roberts, and was written by the playwright Beth Henley. (Don't confuse it with the Paul Newman movie which ripped off the title and probably sucks.) It's quirky, clever, dark and heartfelt. It was a commercial and critical flop when it was released, but some of us got it. If you haven't seen it, you're in for a treat. "I'd like some bend straws. I think I could use them."
