Do you do anything special for Mother's Day? I don't. I love and appreciate my mother 365 days a year. I bring a bouquet of flowers whenever I go home to visit and call at least every othet day. My mother has always said don't love me today because the calendar said to.
It is like Valentine's Day. Do you actually feel special if your lover does something for you, when everyone else is doing it?
Isnt a random act of romance on a random day hold more value?
I do not as well, and show my appreciation for her everyday, and she is happier in my doing so.
I raised my children not to celebrate Mothers or Fathers growing up. My husband and I did not celebrate valentines day. Buy me a gift because it's Tuesday, you saw something and it made you think of me. Take me to dinner because you want to spend time with me. Not because a calender dictates it. My kids played hell when they got married and celebrating these holidays did not come natural for them, and I knew this would happen. I stand behind how I handled this. These holidays are horrible. I have the little things they were forced to make at school while growing up, and I appreciate all the little trinkets the teachers made them work so on. But I appreciate their every day, non-forced love so much more. Now birthdays, I can get behind one heck of a birthday celebration.
a mother after my own heart. don't regret honesty
Yes! You remind me of my son! You make your mom PROUD!
I thought I reminded you of your son? Geez, I'm bummed out now...
I was just kidding of course
@SpikeTalon hahahaha YOU remind me of my son for other reasons.
@crazycurlz Uh oh...I hope for all the right reasons
Your a great guy... moms gone... dad too. I can't say ive done what you've done. I commend you.
My mom has passed away. I do think of her fondly. I am a mom of one child. I treated myself to a morning trip to the Orchid show and bought myself some new pretty plants to slowly murder through my benign neglect, but they will be cheerful on the porch until they finally succumb to my brown thumb.
