I won't be on here, or anywhere for a while. I've got all of my possessions crammed into my 78 Scout II Traveler, and a 23 ft 1982 Travel Trailer. The photo was my view from my computer room in E Oregon, I'll miss it, along with really missing my SO and great life partner of 20 years, and our 6 year old Boxer 'Marley'. Not to mention my 8 chickens/layers that I've enjoyed for the last four years. Moving to W Oregon to live near my son and grandson for a time. Not too sure about after that. Anyway, not sure how long it will be before I'll have access to the internet. If any of you live in the greater Portland area give me a holler, will ya? I'll be in Banks OR. Sure would like to meet up with some like minded people!
So you folks be good without God okay?
67 is just 27 years after midlife right....Shoot, 13 years is plenty of time to do some traveling. ♥♥♥
Thanks to all of you for your well wishes and encouragement. Got here on Tuesday the 15th, same day as I left. It took me till Friday to get my desk top pc setup, but hooked up to the slowest "high speed internet" on the planet, I swear. 0.95 Kbps download, and 0.67 upload speed. I think dial up was faster...lol. I'll tell you about the trip, and upload a photo of my new place. Thanks again.
These kind of changes are hard. I wish you well and hope you will arrive safely. What will happen to the chicken?
I'll say, especially the packing up and separating crap part. Once I get on the road it will be easier. The chickens and the dog will be fine staying here with Shelley♥
Thanks for your well wishes Spin.
Be safe and let us know when time is right how you doing!
In Walmart, for about $39, they sell a thing a bit thicker than a credit card that gives you internet access anywhere, you pay only for minutes used, no other charges, and it is Cheap unless you download movies. several companies make them, mine iscalled "WiFi On The Go". i use it when I travel, get WiFi anywhere, even "dead spots". And i only have a 10" tablet.
Wow, I want one.
Thank you Anne, I have heard about those, but I have a desk top.....But it would work in my trailer until I get a provider. I might see you guys sooner than I thought!!
Thanks again for the reminder Anne♥
Sounds like a sad story behind that, but good luck!
It really does. Eastern Oregon is beautiful. I hope you end up liking your new digs when you get there. I have friends in W. Oregon near Three Sisters. Went to visit and thought it was pretty cool around there and lots to do. Many people are choosing to retire around Redmond, I understand. Hopefully you will make a new and great life for yourself there.
