Do you think we should be bailing out a Chinese phone company when American companies are going broke and can't get bailed out?
Watched the Colbert Show tonight. I think even he is in disbelief that this is happening. It goes against everything Trump campaigned about. All I hear on our local right wing call in show is how we need to help Americans and not ship money overseas. The rational of helping save 40,000 jobs in China while family dairy farms are failing at the highest rate ever is almost impossible to support, but go ahead Trump fans.
It's probably wise to suck up to the next big super power.
No company should ever be bailed out. It's the assumption that they are "too big to fail" which leads them to take excessive risks in the first place.
By all means, bail out the "non-boardroom" employees, but let the company go into receivership, with NO bonuses for the bosses.
