Funny how when the water goes out its stops most of the normal things. Cant flush, wash dishes, bathe...lol. and damn...
Eons ago I’d read water meters, which meant I also had to turn off delinquent homes… An old utility worker told me, ‘people can live without a lot of things, but they can’t go long without water’.. He was right, thus I’d be accumulating ‘comp time’ driving back at all hours after they paid their bills at the police dept...
My little town had a ‘main break’ today, brought the restaurant's to a halt! Fortunately, it only caused me to watch the moon appear ..with a later start to my hand-watering project
City people here pay $60.00 a month for water, sewage, and trash pick up. No meter on water. Just cautions during shortages or line breaks.
@BucketlistBob My ‘ol meters are all read with telemetry Yup, sewer’s usually the big cost now.. We’ve a minimum use with water, which I’m usually under ..unless watering my ever increasing plant menagerie. Unlimited water use, interesting..
I’d had well water for 33 years prior to my semi-city life now, I miss it… Shoot, had gravity feed pond irrigation water, too.. Feels so weird watching a meter spin, again ... I digress
I am in panic mode when my water or electricity stop. don't know how disaster victims bare it.
Alrighty... 8:30 PM. Just came back on...whew!
Interesting thought there.
Heavy huh?
