My stars! What a cutie!
It sure is! Normally the eyes kinda blend in with the rest of it, but because of the color differentiation, they really stand out!?
Didn't know snakes released odors.
It's kind of like when you touch a stink bug...but not all varieties do it that l'm aware..?
Oh wow..that is so cool...we don't have any snakes over here.(Thanks to st.Patrick apparently!???)
No snakes? Like, at all? And l thought there was some form of them everywhere....?
Didn't Saint Patrick chase all the snakes out of Ireland?
Lol.
@Free_2B_Me No none here..except as pets or in the zoo ?☹
@Free_2B_Me, @Flyingsaucesir He asked them to leave..and they agreed...all of them
@Hitchens Wow...l had no idea! You learn somethin' new everyday!?
@Free_2B_Me
Everyday is a school day! Lol
That is so cute!
They're interesting and quite harmless...but they do emit an odor (as a defense mechanism) to deterr you once captured, but that's a simple soap and water fix! ?
@Free_2B_Me Same here, I crap myself when I'm threatened!
What a cute little snake.
It's just a baby...l don't see many larger snakes. Either the cats get them or they're just out hiding in the woods!
He's a beauty. Little garter snake, no? I have seen three rattle snakes in the last month. I did not try to pick any of them up though. Go ahead and call me chicken. I'll lay an egg!
I would have to look it up to know for sure, but l assume so on the garter snake. This one had actual markings on it whereas the ones l normally see are a solid brown (like one in a previous post l did). Have only seen 1 rattlesnake in the 21 years we've lived out here, but it was huge (10 rattles). Killed a Copperhead when l first moved here, but haven't seen one since. I actually caught a water moccasin with just a stick and my bare hands when l was in the 7th grade up in Oklahoma....seeing fangs up close is cool, as long as they aren't in your skin!?
