that's only because humans consider themselves way above all other life like say a God created them. ie Gods creatures. they feel insulted to be called an ape or monkey.most vertebrae carry similar things to humans like pairs of things like eyes. that is not an accident. I remember watching an autopsy on a giraffe and they showed you I think a nerve that runs from the giraffes head all the way down to its body and back to its head joining about an inch away from where it started. on a fish, the same thing just crosses the gap. if that's not evolution I don't know what is. humans have forced nature to make pretty fish, dogs and cats and food that grows way bigger than it should.its genetic engineering or cheating nature but it shows how evolution works. elephants are becoming tuskless in Africa because the genes that make the tuskers are being killed. woman are more and more needing hysterectomies because of there parents etc having them.

There are many species which have been unchanged for millions of years. Evolution has no intended direction other that adapting to the environment. Everything that is alive today is the end product of evolution so far. Where it will go from here depends on the environment.

The fact of human evolution is accepted by at least 97% of all scientists. It is NOT the scientists who are disputing human evolution. It is the religious ideologues whose minds are ruled by magical thinking, superstition, and fallacious dogma.
