Another historic flood hits Ellicott City MD two years after the last one. 8" of rain with more on the way. Plenty of flooding in surrounding areas. My job is going to be intense all of next week (setting up emergency telecom and network access) but nothing like the departments that will be handling the clean up.

What a shame. Flooding anywhere is horrible but this is a very uniquely historical city subject to flooding. Visited there in the 70's.
From Wikipedia:
Ellicott City has had major devastating floods in 1817, 1837, 1868,[5] 1901, 1917, 1923, 1938, 1942, 1952, 1956, 1972 (Hurricane Agnes), 1975 (Hurricane Eloise), 1989, 2011, 2016, and 2018.
