This morning I stood on line at Starbucks behind someone I worked with for years at my prior church. He was walking in as I was pulling into my parking spot, bike roaring, demon skullz mounted and my gray skull helmet. He is now the senior pastor.

I got on line right behind him. He didn't recognize me. Not even a look familiar glance or conversation. That's how much I've changed. People who have known me for years have no clue who I am.

Cool. Now that I am 67 people I know don't recognize me as I've grown a beard & mustache.

Why in BOB's name would any sensible person be in line at Starbucks? (No offence meant!)

I don't drink coffee, but I like Starbuck's. And, they have a gazillion stores all around the globe -- I hope at least some of the people who spend their dollars there are "sensible."

@BlueWave
McDonald's also has a gazillion stores... Just saying....

@ScienceBiker
I didn't mean to upset anyone.

I try to avoid franchises. I prefer the hidden away cute eclectic, original cozy coffee shop where everyone doesn't hear my convo

People seem to know me but much less today. I don't do the step study at the NA group I once attended. Or attend AA meetings. Helll.... or go to church.

Like..... Ghost Ryder????

Probably not, but I'd sure like to see that.

@ScienceBiker
Hmm... close!

Kind of strange isn't it? When l left a career in advertising in my mid 20's for a career in music l lost all but a couple of friends from my old life. I never quite understood that.

I'm getting a bike. Maybe my family will forget who I was

Maybe if I got a motorcycle? lol

People I've never met know who I am. It's awful.

@ScienceBiker No - small town blues.

I look exactly like my Dad's sister did....

I just try to avoid my hometown.
