Also, although I've had drinks, eaten a couple good meals and dealt with a moderate amount of stress I've made it a week with no cigarettes! Thank goodness and mercy and thank you for all your tots and pears ♥️♥️♥️

Féliciations! You have won. The physical addiction to tobacco clears your system very quickly - about 72 hours +-. After that, if you smoke again, it is a choice, not a need. I quit years ago and it was the easiest thing I ever did. The key is never to be tempted to smoke even one cigarette - no cheating, ever. As time goes by, a week becomes a month, then three months, then a year, one day at a time. I kept a calendar to mark of the no smoke days. Know that if you bum even one puff, all that investment in time and effort will have been wasted and you'll have to start all over again. Keep at it; it's truly worth it.

You can do it. It is hard, but you can do it if you put your mind to it. It was a long time ago when I went through, but I am glad I made it.
