Stalin was a ruthless power hungry thug who would kill anyone he thought was against him.

Is there a point to the question, or are you mainly just collecting poll numbers?

@BearMcClure Thank you for the clarification...🙂

Dont compare to religious fanaticism. All in the name of God.

I don't recall anything in lessons teaching that he did most of what happened with his own hands, but he did order a great deal of it. It still makes him responsible.

Jo was Russian, like many of the land grabbing invaders and leadership in Israel have been. They really know how to 'spit on their hands' and get it done. It must be so frustrating for the Zionist leaders having such a small piece of real estate and smaller captive population, while being restrained by international law and monitoring.

Instead of pursuing a final solution by 'scalping the lawn' they must settle for 'mowing the grass'. Jo and Adolf weren't under such restraints.

One is tempted to ask,... And?

What's the particular relevance of this statistic? Stalin was somehow worse?

As murderous asshats I judge the two equivalent. History does as well.

Hitler made National Socialism into the state religion, with himself as high priest and deity. Stalin did the same for Bolshevism. I find Hitler much more loathsome simply because of his racist delusions, which continue to influence people to this day. Sometimes people who are otherwise quite intelligent and even likable.

@BearMcClure
This actually says nothing.

According to some records Stalin eliminated about 60 millions of people.

Stalin had a lot longer run to stack up his body count. Given the same amount of time I would think Hitler would have been up to the task, definitely if he had been able to invaded North and South America, the losses on the Eastern Front nipped that in the bud.

It helps to remember that millions of those who died under Stalin were killed fighting back the Wehrmacht or at their hands. There is no doubt that, as with Mao Zedong's failed Great Leap Forward, millions starved to death as a result of Stalin's program of agricultural collectivization, but too often trumpeting the Soviet death toll is used to present some sort of moral equivalency between Nazism and Soviet Communism.

Though it wasn't for lack of Hitler trying.

Dishonorable mentions: Pol Pot, Leopold II, Ottoman Committee of Union and Progress.

And do not forget the "conquistadores" in the New World.

Thank you for keeping Leopold and the Belgians in play. A forgotten African genocide...

Yeah, Learned that while serving in West Berlin.

Only because he lived longer.

@JustKip
There was just a study of teeth found in the bunker which debunks (ha) the conspiracy theories. Trying to copy the link...

There you go. Of course, those who believe conspiracy theories will continue believing.

@JustKip I would disagree that it's the first conclusive evidence, just the most conclusive. History put this question to rest decades ago.

Some credible sources say that he was responsible for the deaths of around 25 million people, many of them countrymen/women who died of starvation.
But comrade Mao killed even more: Maybe 40 millions.
[Both were created in the image of god....]

A friend's mother, she was Ukrainian, used to tell us they even saved the bread crumbs because they didn't know if they were going to have any food for next day.
