There's definitely something to be said for a Sunday dinner, roast chicken, gravy, roast potatoes. Brings back Sunday dinner memories of my childhood expect I'm a way better cook than my mother was! ? Bloody hot cooking a roast dinner in this weather though ?

Google: "Sunday Morning Going Down", Johnny Cash.

Yes... I think so too, we have a roast Every Sunday where possible, Beef, Chicken or Lamb, always with roast potatoes, cooked alongside the meat as Im sure you know taste much better than roasted seperately, becauses they soak up all those flavours. Yum yum.

We always had a salad and spagetti for lunch on Sundays. Sorry no meat balls....

I still love a big bowl of spaghetti on Sundays.@Josephine

Sunday dinner was never a 'thing' at our house. Meals were as usual.

Often the chicken was reserved for the pastor when he came calling. In small rural churches part of the minister's salary was Sunday dinner with each of the church's families in rotation. Usually, a hen that had gone out of lay was fresh killed for this purpose. Children had to be on their best behavior if they were to be allowed to sit at the same table as the clergy guest. All of this fuss must have made God smile and Jesus very happy.

I can be glad for you that you love it! but I am vegan mainly because of food allergys and nothing about this meal would go down well for me.
