Why do you think people are so scared to put up photos on this site or limit it to only one or two?

I don't own a phone myself. A smart phone anyways. So taking pictures is difficult. I have to ask friends just to upload my hand drawn art to my site. D: Don't even own a computer. Huzzah library!

Since I'm open to dating on this site...I put a close up with no makeup and a full body but no hoochie-mama get up on here to 'show my wares', so to speak. But that's it. I'm telling you...most of the men I've ended up dating don't look a whole lot like their pictures (for various reasons). I know I put pics up that I think are flattering...but I strive now for those that I think actually look like me. And they're current! I suck at selfies as well and I'll be damned if I'll be so self absorbed as to buy a selfie stick. But I have been considering putting a couple more up....not a priority!

For me I just don't like pictures. I have very few to show for it but that's ok to me. It isn't like I'm single and looking at the moment anyway.

I've yet to post any photos/images on my profile, but since I just updated the text in my bio I am considering adding some. This may sound odd, but I have never done a selfie before, not the least that I could recall anyway. I do enjoy interacting on this site, but the trolling gets intense at times. One of the groups I host on here has been and continues to be a target of some of those in the progressive gun control group, and I and a few fellow members have been harassed and ostracized for our views. I have received hateful albeit threatening messages in both private and public in which nothing much is ever done about it despite bringing the issue to attention, and with that in mind makes me leery about posting any photos of myself in public, no telling the lengths some trolls would go through to cause trouble. That's why I don't publicly post photos of myself on this site, and for the most part would only consider sending personal photos via private messenger.

I'm crap at taking selfies don't have anyone to take my picture. Also maybe @admin can answer this I did manage to take a reasonable recent picture of myself and for some reason when I uploaded it the pic is blurred it was taken on a phone but the camera is supposed to be good and the same pic looks good on FB, any ideas?

Well, did it contain full frontal nudity?

@MrLink I wouldn't want to inflict that on anyone lol

@Admin thank you

@Admin the photo I'm currently using isn't blurred the one I uploaded a few days ag still looks blurred to me and I never use my phone for internet so it's still a mystery

I like you people, why would I inflict my my image whose face is not worth
sun-burning on you.
Also with computers these days, reverse searching images can trace people and it is improving. I live a very private life (lives).

2

Personally, I am ugly, and don't want to subject others to more that the basic photos 😉

Thank you for thinking of others. 😉

Lmao...but no...maybe not as ugly as you think!

3

I can only speak for myself: I got tired of women and men throwing themselves at me.

That is a good reason. 😉

@MrTallman I know what mean I have the same problem, it must be our animal magnestism

2

I hate almost every picture of myself.

😟 that's incredibly sad...I don't know what to say to that.

@SkotlandSkye Body Dysmorphic Disorder is a helluva mental health condition. My brain is constantly telling me that I'm hideous. Very like depression, it can distort one's perceptions.

3

Maybe they're not photogenic, maybe they don't like the way they look and think no one else will either, maybe they are more private than the average, a million possible reasons.

I belong to life and to the world I am participant of.

2

A lot of people are very guarded when it comes to participating online, not just at this site. Me, I don't really have a lot of hangups. I stay safe but I won't restrict myself too much.

IDK, but maybe some people are still closeted atheists and afraid of being recognized and outed? Yet they feel alone in their non belief and looking for some community?

Is this something that is really hidden in 2018? I haven't believed in God since 1983 and everyone who has ever known me knows it! LOL

@SkotlandSkye TBH I think it depends on where you live and what your family and friends are like. If you're in California with a good support system you probably are comfortable coming out. However, if you live in Shelbina, MO and all your family are evangelicals and your friends would cut you from their social network, it would be a much more choice. I came out a few years ago to a scientific, bi-annual Christian (xmas and Easter) family in a city (STL) only to find out that much of my family (although they don't specifically describe themselves as such) are either agnostic or atheist. except for my younger sister that converted to Islam (which is super for me to accept, although I love her no matter what).

@StrongHappySilly I was full-blown Wiccan by the time I graduated from high school in 1984...since then....I've lived in 11 states and currently reside in the Mid-West by South-West of Texoma. 🙂 I have Wiccan and Buddhist tattoos. I guess I've just never really given a flying leap what people think about it. My brother and sister are both uber-religious....but they know where I stand and don't fret about it.

for me its because I don't know how to.

click on your profile...then choose "edit profile" ...then go to Photos....and then click on upload....

I'd have more, but my friends aren't exactly into taking pictures of ourselves. As such, most of my pictures are old and don't account for the last several months of hair growth since I stopped shaving in November

I know my image can be found if someone really wants to but mostly I don't want my face on the internet here or elsewhere

but why? I mean, unless you are in the witness protection program or hiding from someone, who cares who has your photo? Do you cover your face when you go out in public so you don't accidently end up in the background of someone's selfie? What do you consider the "risk" of having your face on here?

I'm the same way. It's ok to have one little photo, but I'm wary of people who want dozens of their images ''out there."

@LucyLoohoo See...I don't get that. There are literally thousand and thousands of pics of me "out there" due to my past and current employment. Maybe because I've always had jobs where I'm photographed it just doesn't bother me.

@SkotlandSkye I work in prisons and jails and on forensic psychiatry units with psychotic murderous people. Is that good enough? You expose yourself to the whole world on here. Why do you have the alien image if you are going to question that? THere are certain places I won't go in real life and on the street you have a fair chance to see who is coming. NOt here

@btroje I have the alien because it's amusing to me.....but I have 20+ real photos of me on my profile. I find it odd that people think that being on here is somehow "unsafe". That's all. I mean, no one can physically touch you in here....

@SkotlandSkye that is an innocent point of view

1

They not scared, The just don't have any more ! The camera broke after the last pic was taken of themselves ?

hahaha with some of the "mugshots" I've seen on here....I wouldn't be too surprised 🙂

@SkotlandSkye
Hence my reply ?

4

Don't know. May not want to open themselves up. I,on the other hand am an open book. Everyone has their own comfort level.

But, literally, they go out in public and show their faces....(I assume or maybe they all wear masks and disguises like Michael Jackson did! LOL)

2

Probably more so that it's tedious
