I agree it is desperately needed. But I also see a lot of money from the wealthy going to push against this. For years William Gates Sr. pushed for a state income tax for the wealthy. The usual crap from his peers (stuff about the rate trickling down to the middle and lower classes) kept it from ever being enacted. I worry, this might also hurt her chances. Perhaps with some things one needs to be more low keyed.

Yes and it would work, also it hasn't been a century since the wealthy paid higher taxes. They paid a 90% tax rate under Eisenhower. That wasn't a 100 years ago.
