Urgent Care can & will tell you to go to an ER if your problem is beyond the scope of what they can provide. They can set broken bones,write RX's, but not give you an IV or ventilator.
It has happened to me! They gave me a wrtten note saying GO TO THE ER NOW. Absolutely Nothing to do with insurance, i have excellent insurance.
