Unions are necessary when the employees are not also the owners.
Do not confuse employee ownership with socialism. Employee owners are capitalists; they share profits and losses.
I am a passionate believer in the need for unions. Unfortunately, i was trapped in a union whose upper echelon was corrupt and in bed with the companies from which they were meant to protect us.
