Is Covid-19 political?

Many people say that Covid-19 is mostly political. They say it is just another flu epidemic that we would not even notice more than the regular flu, except that the democrats want the country to perform poorly so that Trump cannot win. What do you think?

Anything that comes from tRump or the conservatives is pure, self-serving BS.

Everything becomes political when greedy people see profit in it. Trump and his cronies saw profit in COVID-19 so they made it political.

Viruses don’t recognise political parties or have allegiances...so your question is nonsensical. Are politicians making political points?...some probably are. Is this just like the flu?...no it’s not, it’s a new virus and the virologists and immunologists are still learning about it’s behaviours. Is it a political hoax?...no it’s real and the numbers of people who have died are real deaths with bereaved families mourning them. Are the figures true?.....we won’t know the exact statistics of this pandemic until it is all over...sometime in the distant future and they are analysed. This is a worldwide pandemic and not confined to the USA, but naturally I understand why you are principally concerned about your own country and how your politicians have dealt with it, that too will be seen and be judged better in its aftermath.

Well said.

Covid-19 seems more deadly, to me.
