I've seen that reallocation of resources definition, in varying degrees.

I've only seen the actually defund and abolish the police completely definition from people way out on the fringe, true communists. They don't represent the movement so to use their definition is to straw man the movement.

Defund it's not a good choice of phrasing. It leads people to believe that it does mean defund completely. Not the best messaging.

And of course I agree that they should drop Biden. He has little to offer.

I don't think communism has to be the outcome of socialism. It is an ideology that can stand on it's own.

Here's the thing about that combined effort, it was the progressive leaders selling out and capitulating to the establishment. Many of us are able to see that clear as day and will not cooperate.

Yes, the voting record is the best way to judge politicians because it is the most important thing that they do and reveals everything relevant to who they are and where their priorities lie. I don't care what comes out of their mouths. The voting record and donor list is all that matters.

I was blind to what Bernie truly is until recently. You tried to warn me but I was all in. He was the shepherd herding us back into the establishment fold. He captured the political excitement and energy of the left and purposefully squandered it in order to keep the establishment powerful and satisfied. Then they turn around and use him as one of their convenient scapegoats when they fail to beat Trump. I won't trust any democrats anymore. I've left the party.

Well yes, there have been times when radical policies have gone mainstream and become legislation. For instance, The New Deal, The Reagan Revolution, The Reconstruction Period following the Civil War which gave us the 13th and 14thAmedments, and the original Revolution itself which founded the country was extremely radical for the time.

And if you want to talk about other countries, the far right Nazi's took over in Germany, the far left Bolsheviks took over during the Russian Revolution, The far left Jacobins ended Feudalism in France, The far left Khmer Rouge took over in Cambodia, The Vietnamese went communist despite the best efforts of both the USA and the Frenchies. The list goes on and on.
