If a god and Jesus was as fantastical and true as believers declare they are, it would be beyond evident, no one could deny it, miracles and evidence would be the normal, however, it is the just opposite. Their god can be disregarded without a thought and nothing would happen, the world would not end. Actually, it would be better. There would be less religious divisions. We would begin healing this world by accepting science and real solutions rather than waiting for a god to help.

The Bible has been proven false to the degree it is laughably ludicrous. It is hateful and inspires violence, pedophilia, misogyny, homophobia, slavery, and much more, yet, people will respect it and those indoctrinated into it. It is dishonest and cowardly, and empowers religion to continue to oppress and kill.

The Jesus character in the Bible doesn’t even understand basic biology:

Jesus, wanting to say something really deep and sappy, but couldn't think of anything, said, "Consider the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store food, and yet your heavenly Father feeds the lazy creatures anyway."

Peter, critically thinking, answered and said, "But Lord, birds do essentially sow and reap and store food. Birds eat berries, nuts, and fruit, whose seeds are then deposited or sown when the birds poop, they reap these when they hunt, scratch, and eat, and many birds like Chickadees, Nuthatches, Jays, Crows, Ravens, etc., DO store food for later."

Jesus stuttered and answered, "Did I say birds of the air? I meant let's consider the ants or the bees."

Peter, about to disagree with another erroneous analogy, noticed a dead bird on the ground being consumed by ants.

Jesus said, "See how the ants are provided for."

Peter challenged and said, "But Lord they are still working and gathering food for themselves."

Jesus answered, "Ahh, yes, but your Heavenly Father killed the bird for them to eat and you are just like a big juicy bird." Matty 6:26 and Lukey 12:24

Jesus doesn't even know basic science, that the earth wasn't flooded [ncse.ngo] , and so much more that it makes him an imbecile. Yet, some people are afraid to challenge these idiotic tenets even while they are being oppressed by them.

And so sayeth he who proclaimed to all, " Think not that I come bearing the Olive branch of Peace, for I come bearing the sword of war and with it shall I set Father against Son, Brother against Brother..."
Yep, a 100% moral, and ethical Prophet if ever there was one, NOT. Sarcasm and derision most definitely intended here btw.

Total Bill Shit!!

All that is written was written 200 to 400 years after he supposedly lived!!!

All sounds like a moral code which could never be implemented in any form then or now!!!

Jesus was a great moral teacher! Don't throw out the baby of his ethics with the bathwater of superstition and religious orthodoxy. When dealing with Christian fanatics, I use Jesus' teachings to contradict what they are saying. Nothing else would work. Jesus is actually a great tool for sowing the seeds on disbelief.

What are some ethics of Jesus you believe should not be thrown out that are you unique to him? Also to be fair I probably should point that are some things that make a little more sense if you think of it in the context of the time in which he said it. He believed God was coming to establish a literal physical kingdom on earth at anytime during his and/or his listeners' lifetime, so it makes sense that he taught that people should sell everything they have and not worry about it because the kingdom of God could come at any moment.

@AHWalter1989 They don't have to be unique to not be thrown out. Some of my friends bake and give me bread which I don't throw out simply because they were not the first to bake bread.

@Krish55 That's fine and understandable but if they are not unique to Jesus then we don't need Jesus and the rest of the garbage he spews in the gospels to have those teachings.

@Krish55 I am curious though what part of his ethics do you think should not be thrown out that we can't get from another teacher? Or let's just say in general what part of his ethics should not be thrown out?

@AHWalter1989 Like religious fanatic, you are viewing it as an either/or fallacy. They also say that it's either you take everything or nothing.

@AHWalter1989 Jesus's great messages were:
(1) The defense of the poor and criticism of the rich.
(2) The criticism of the religious establishment.
(3) The defense of foreigners/minorities.
(4) The defense of vulnerable women.
(5) The need for sharing.
Take away the religious BS and he was a socialist radical. If you have any understanding of anthropology, sociology, and history, you would understand why those messages had to be couched in religious terms in those days. Even that didn't prevent him from getting killed for his anti-establishment message.

@Krish55 ive learned here that atheism is just a different religion, for most

@bbyrd009 Right-wing atheism tends to be a secular religion. Socialist atheism tends to be more understanding of the social factors that cause the growth of religious fundamentalism. It's about getting out of the intellectual ivory tower...

Always remember Blessed Are the Cheesemakers!!

@Healthydoc70 Yes, 'blessed are the Cheese-makers for from them we shall derive toasted cheese sandwiches," LOL.

@Gwendolyn2018 "Jesus of Nazareth" is likely a rabbi's way to say "John Doe, from Nowhere"

@Gwendolyn2018 ya i dunno, but i guess Jesus (Joshua) was the most common male name then

I think Jesus was a great moral teacher. For me, the problem is 'political Christianity'. The idea that Jesus' 'kingdom is no part of this world' and then have it thrust into politics is bound to create a perversion of the faith and corrupted Christian minds. I think it's becoming very clear these days how bad the extent of their madness has become.

I my last discussion with a Christian that considers it anti God to not support Trump, and is all in favor of separating children at the border, a friend and I asked about when Jesus said "What you do to the least of these you have done also to me." This ass explained that it doesn't mean what is said at all, you need the gift of the "Spirit" to understand.
I endured ten minutes of explanation before I interrupted to point out that the MF wouldn't know Jesus if he was standing there listening to his explanation then I walked off.
As I left I said, “Some have entertained angels unawares”
They turned to my friend and asked who I was, my friend said "who?", the guy said "the woman that just left." My friend Angelica replied, "Are you crazy the only people here are you and me."
Then the guy lost his shit.
Angelica told me all about it over coffee, and yes you can laugh so hard you pee.

Seems like all the abrahamic religions are equally fucked up. The only other religions that are just as bad are all the other religions.....

@Gwendolyn2018 fucked up people are fucked up regardless of belief or non-belief. However, all religions suck, atheism, not so much.

Luke 22:36 has Jesus saying that one who has no sword should sell his cloak and buy one. Apologists play this around forever to mean something different entirely. Jesus just could not be telling his followers to take up the sword. 🙂

They don't bring up the crazy shit in either book in church and they know the majority of "believers" will never read either book.

Who gives a flying fuck? No sarcasm intended or given.

Yes, it's a good takedown of everything that I have ever heard from every God Mobster that I have ever encountered.
