The evangelical Christian hate group One Million Moms (Twitter count: 4661) can’t believe that Burger King is using the D-word — the D-word! — to advertise its “Impossible Whoppers.”
The ad in question — which is from August but the Moms must have been too busy complaining about the existence of gay people to raise any concerns then — involves the fast food chain surprising “real” people with their new meatless burgers and capturing their reactions on film. As one of the guys takes a bite out of the sandwich, he says “Damn, that’s good.”
Didn't read this past first sentence. Why is a xtian eating anywhere but chik-fillet anyway? Go repent you secular tv watcher! Isn't Joel on fox now?
Sounds quite brainwashed. Or is it brain damaged? Just can’t quite put my finger on it.
How about both
@kiramea True........ya got some real whackjobs out there!!
I’m with her, “damn that’s good” is totally inappropriate!
Their sandwiches suck!
I like junk food sometimes
@girlwithsmiles I buy any try spam once a year to remind me why it sucks....
If their offerings are anything like those sold by Burger King ( Hungry Jacks in Australia) and Macca's I agree with you completely.
Bloody Norah, their Ads show BIG burgers but in reality they are almost miniature, tasteless and a waste of money imo.
Give me a Hamburger from my local Take-away Fish and Chips shop any day, NO joke, they are made from REAL Bread Rolls about the same diameter of a bread and butter plate, the meat patty is about 1/2 an inch thick, you can get one 'with the lot' ( a sliced of Tomato, a slice of Beetroot, FRESH lettuce, Gherkins ( pickles in the U.S.), a rasher of bacon, a fried egg, grilled onion and either Mayonnaise or sauce ( Ketchup) of your choice for $7.50 AND you DO need both hands to hold them so you can, IF your jaws can stretch open that far, bite into them.
@Triphid we have a new brand of meat free burgers here thet are fab. I did some with ‘hamburger’ toppings and they were the best burgers I’ve ever had, (or can remember having lols, the joys of middle age!).
@girlwithsmiles something about factory food that just doesn’t float my boat...
@girlwithsmiles Cool looks like something you would see at Wild by Nature or Whole Foods.
@Canndue I’m under doctors orders not to eat processed meat. A little processed non meat is my concession. But if you can avoid completely good on you! I’m impressed actually.
@girlwithsmiles I agree, processed meats bad, but standard meats, should be no problem.
@Canndue apart from pork apparently.
@girlwithsmiles why pork?
@Canndue true, when I looked it up on the American Cancer page it seems to be a diet high in red meat is the issue, not pork. So not sure why my specialist said pork.
@girlwithsmiles Call me a skeptic. Meat is healthy. I followed diabetes association dietary guidelines, diabetes got worse and worse, dr’s kept increasing meds. Switched to keto-ish diet and intermittent fasting, now no meds and glucose continues to improve. Doctors are great at what they do but have minimal training in diet and nutrition. Recommend researching fasting and other diets ( keto, carnivore) in relation to cancer.
@Canndue we generally have fish once or twice a week and meat once or twice a week. But I’m dead fussy and buy organic where possible and grass fed beef, free range chicken and sustainable fish.
If they stop labelling the meat I will probably stop eating it.
