The American defense industry and the ancillary businesses are big donors to politicians - Republicans and Democrats alike.

But America is not good at winning wars. We have lost Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan and we will not win against Russia. I have zero confidence in our leaders. We can say we are the best in the world all we want but we are not the best in many things... certainly not in defense or math or chess. We are the best in huge spending and boasting with a false pride.

What the U.S. can do best is maneuver alliances to boycott countries, blacklist for trade, sanction internationally etc. It can use it's strong economy and international leverage. But our leaders suck. Biden was bad and Trump will be worse.

Trump has a golden chance to keep his head steady and rule from the center by not listening to religion and extreme voices from any side. He can be a highly consequential president but no...... he falls victim to his vices each time. He will show his weaknesses and vices before January 2025 will be over
