The party is not the problem.... The people in the party are.

And a critical part of the problem is that since Republicans no longer believe in objective truth or facts, they think we're worse for democracy?!
They can't see that a policy they dislike is different than systematic dismantling of the fabric of democracy in the exact same pattern that many other democracy-turned-authoritarian rule situations have gone over the past several decades. I'd like to think that when it's a Republican that becomes our first dictator they'd realize it was their policies and behaviors that caused it, but they'll probably be too stupid to even know we're under authoritarian rule.

We feel the exact same way about the democrat party.
