Why we are escaping the death?
Life is a dynamic process and no mater how static our thoughts or beliefs about this or that state of affairs, death dissolves all notions of self. This little I comes to an end sooner or later. We put it to the back of our minds thinking that it is in some far away future date. There is a pub in England with a sign above the bar, 'free beer tomorrow'. However, tomorrow never comes.
In all cultures some form ritual takes place to honour the memory of the deceased. In western culture we have always managed to sweep death under the carpet and sanitize the whole process.
Because most people live in denial of death. The human ego fears death and so lives in denial and escape. But if you can shake the almighty ego's hold on you it is pretty easy to accept the inevitable.
Nothing wrong with Death. Heās on all our paths so embrace your life and welcome him when you meet along the road. We canāt hide or sneak down back alleys to avoid him, so walk in peace with him.
Isn't it terrifying that every second is passed we are getting closer to the end, in materialist view death means end of everything, we will not exist anymore we even will not be able to know that we used to be alive.
@Noor92 To me itās enlightening and makes me realise what a privilege it has been to be a part of it. When the Fat Lady sings and the lights go out....!
We're not...we're afraid of Death...we run as fast as we can...but Death follows at his own pace...eventually WE run down from running so fast...and he walks up on us...
We THINK we escape Death...because DEATH...has TIME on his side!
