This story of what sorts of things will come out of the ice melting in the arctic and elsewhere is not a completely new story (this particular link is from 2017) but the overall matter is ongoing.
I did see a work of fiction on TV [Fortitude] the last couple of years that brought to the fore some of the dangers. I'm not sure if this is all about Archaeology exactly, but kind of related, I guess.

I recently watched a TV Series based on this premise of diseases released from the melting glaciers that caused mayhem in a small Arctic community.
Yes, that's the one I watched, though I couldn't quite think of the name of it, at that moment. I thought it was pretty well done (though pretty dark, not for every mood) and introduced me to this topic of what sort of bad things may come out of the melt, as I had not really thought about that.

And they are unthawing them too. Like that's a good idea..NOT!
I'll bet the climate change deniers will deny that too.
This has actually been a concern for some time, even more so now as the rate of thaw is much faster than predicted. Scary as hell~
