I so wish I hadn't been talked out of studying Archaeology as a teen. I was pretty shy and retiring then. Easy to convince me that I couldn't possibly do it by my teacher.

In the HBO series : Rome,
it showed walls with humorous and pornographic graffiti. Obviously there is evidence that this was the case. Thank you for posting this.

I recall seeing a documentary on Egyptian pyramids and the graffiti left by the workmen that showed they were not slaves but skilled workers who were well payed and with a bawdy sense of humour worthy of my own construction crews.
