Czechs clean thousands of bones in the preservation of a medieval ossuary.
A most daunting task indeed. It is the seeing others and yourself different that is most intriguing. Your ability to create such scenarios is kind of interesting and way better of an imagination than I seem to have. This is a most interesting . I like it. Bretan- It is true as to the end result indeed
I've taken fifteen-week classes in forensic anthropology, the human skeleton, and human musculo-skeletal systems. I can determine the race, gender, approximate age, and height of human skeletal remains. I told a prof once that I 'would never look at people the same way again!'. He laughed, and said "Of course not! You will look THROUGH them instead!". In addition, I once spent most of a summer excavating, and sorting bones from a bison kill site in northern Colorado. At one point, when observing pedestrians on the street, I could "see" through their flesh, and body fat, and "see" their skeletons walking down the street! Which led me to conclude we are all just walking, jabbering bags of bones!
Very interesting. I am wondering if that moment of revelation was just interesting, or somewhat disturbing. Does that change in perspective include feeling different about seeing your reflection in a mirror?
Officialstatement from the Czech Enviromental minister:
"
No, nemůžeme mít špinavé kosti, které by na tom místě mohly."
@MissKathleen I'm really impressed! Czechs are a tidy people!
"We can't have dirty bones littering up the place"
