A monster bullfrog that I moved off the road tonight, on my way home from trivia. We've been having quite a lot of rain lately and the amphibians are on the move!

My daughter loves bullfrogs. I showed her your photos. She instructed me that I have to wet my hands before holding them. I told her I didn't know that and she said, "you're so old you should know that."

@Insectra Well, you could, but thank you for not.

Nice one ! I have seen some easily twice that size however. They ate ANYthing that came near their mouths !

🙂 he looks kissed in the center pic - did you?

@Insectra, that is very considerate of you. i admire your self-control.

@Insectra, "hell-benders" - never heard of those. can you send a pic?

@Insectra, unbelievable! i was actually joking with my request for a pic. thought you were inventing the hellbender; but instead they are real & truly big - i love salamanders 😀

thanks for that, made my day - hilarious.

Wow, it's been years since l've seen a bullfrog! (Mostly Leopard frogs and smaller species here.) What an amazing specimen! Good job!

Posted by InsectraA cute grey treefrog (Hyla versicolor) that I found in my birch tree, this afternoon. His camouflage was great and I only discovered him when I heard him calling.
