Four legs, ears, snout, tail. They must be horses. Just the bovine variety. No, I moved my horses that were in my pasture next to this one so I went and took a closer look at these gals and the calves.

I would too. But they were looking at me like I was a predator and moved away. Then the adults moved around the calves to protect them. Oh well. Cows don't like me I guess (they are all adult females with calves).

@graceylou I would try visiting them every day with snacks (for them!), be soothing and keep a respectful distance. I would also talk to them and play music. Eventually, curiosity and decreased fear will win them over. Hopefully.

@misternatureboy They belong to someone else so I won't give them anything to eat as treats. I wouldn't want random people coming up to my horses and giving them treats, or my dogs too. These cows are (sadly) commodity for profit not animals in a petting zoo, so if anything happens to them, I could be blamed for feeding them something not approved. They do have horses as well over there and they like to be petted.

@graceylou I would give snacks when I'm absolutely sure no one is looking. Hee hee!

@misternatureboy I don't think anyone would be looking. Their house is about a mile away you can barely see it. I've never actually seen the people in the 8 years I've lived here. Have seen their tractors and harvesting machines but never seen the persons closely. Their fields share a fence with ours. They will probably be ok with me around if they see me everyday.

@graceylou Very fishy. What if the cows are running the place, dressing up like hoomans and walking bipedally because four legs good, two legs bad??

@misternatureboy As long as there are no pigs. These cows showed up a couple of weeks ago. Before there were just horses. We think the cows were borrowed from another neighbour to trim their pasture.
