I met a honeybee yesterday. I'm not sure what she was attracted to, but she landed on my hand several times.

i love you calling her "she" - getting close & personal.

Males rarely leave the hive and only live long enough to perform their one function. They mate with the queen and then die. Females do all of the work.

As for getting close, she landed on me, I just let her go about her business and go on her way.
