I left my phone behind today while kayaking/fishing. The pictures you could've been viewing otherwise would have been of a green heron, a large beaver, a whitetail deer, her fawn, and a great blue heron.
I also watched an injured broad-winged hawk die. I saw a stationary object in the brush near the stream bank, but it appeared to be concealed by a wing. When I got closer it fell into the water with its head submerged beneath the body. I scooped it onto my paddle blade and put it back on shore, but it was dead within a few minutes.
I was in a park where I've often seen bald eagles. I assume that an eagle rammed it in flight leaving it fatally injured. There were no obvious wounds, but it appeared to have a broken neck.
