It's nearly 11pm, it's 75°F, overcast, and humid: it's a GREAT night for insects! These individuals are the fervid plagodis, a giant stonefly, the tulip tree beauty and some little eupithecia species, and another Nicrophorus burying beetle with interesting markings.

I have always noticed bugs flying around the lights outside, but I have never been interested in finding out what they were. I have always found an individual beautiful but the interest has not gone beyond that. There must be a gargantuan amount of information that could be learned from these. Seeing what different people on this site have shown me I have been missing much.
