There were 3 flying around each other. I don't know I see butterflies on or near the manure piles

Male butterflies will often visit mud or manure seeking the mineral building blocks for male pheromones. Males will patrol an area for females and rival males, whereas a female will nectar or oviposit. Females rarely visit the ground if ever.
Females have more blue in the hind wings
