Yep — our “feral house cat” is currently on my lap. Brought him in when we had a REALLY cold winter. He lived in terror in the basement and got less scared every day. Like with you, it started with a neuter — and feeding. Three inside cats now, beween one and four outside, depending on how you count them. One is going to find himself getting trapped and snipped before too much longer.

My neighbor moved off (went to stay with her BF so the house is empty) and left her cats, I couldn't let them starve, she couldn't be bothered to fix them, they were all just kind of an after thought to her. All but 2 are pretty tame now and the numbers are going down. They wander into the park across the street and get abducted. They must like it since none have come back. They're all notched, so the city won't euthanize them if they are turned in.
Wow — SO impressed! Makes my blood boil when people abandon animals like that, but so glad they had you.
Wow! You are amazing! Thank you for doing so much for the feral colony.

I really didn't have much choice, I had to continually give away kittens that the mothers would bring up to the patio, and the little corks didn't work.
