My Zoe likes to jump all over me when I am sleeping. Or she knocks items to the floor. So, I shut the door to my bedroom and make the cats spend their night in the living room/kitchen. Cloris does not interfere with my sleep, but I figure Zoe needs companionship all night, so both cats are ousted from the bedroom. Anyone else have naughty furbabies who disturb sleeping humans?
My cats are not too bad. Most of them avoid the bed because at least one dog would be on the bed with me. Tiger now and again would get on the bed around 5:30 am (or when it sounds like I'm waking up) and he would bug the crap out of me (walk back and forth over my head, push at my blankets, poke me in the face and mouth with his paw, purr really really loud). But this would go on for days or weeks then stops until some other time for no reason. Vinny often wants to sleep under the covers with me and would poke poke poke until I let him, then when he's under the blankets he would bite any random body part of mine that happens to move during the night. Lynx usually sleeps with me either over the blankets or under. That's mostly just fine until he decides to walk back and forth on my head, knead my body parts with claws out, sleep on top of my chest or arm or belly or hip. He sometimes gets into a mood where this position is not ok, that one isn't ok either, and can't decide how he wants to settle in to sleep. Ugh.
I am told that before i moved into my sister's house, the girl cat (Sasha) would do the night jumping up and down th3 ed thing when she was younger. She grew out of that. Although she will walk on me to wake me u or to get me to roll over onto my back, so she can climb into my lap.
What sleep with a cat! I get to share my bed with at least three depending on how they feel at the time, great as they like to cuddle and keep me warm. Of course they understand the alarm clock and before it rings they are waking me for breakfast.
Go to bed early and play lazer light or feather with Zoe in bed....wear off her work day saved up energies ....she'll turn into a snuggle bunny instead of a demanding child
I'm about to install silicone feet on the aluminum frame that hangs over my bed with a painting - because Rainey has learned to lift it so that it bangs on the wall to wake me for breakfast.
I'm ok with being woken - but not with the painting being swung! lol
Clyde used to consider bedtime cuddling a wallowing sport. Overtime, he has found out it is better to stay away or cuddle quietly. To him, modifying his behavior was a lot more pleasant than having me yell every time he dug is claws into my skin as he would shift position, or flop on my race.
