Does anyone else find it more and more difficult to meet people without children, as you age? as i get older, it certainly seems harder to me.
i am not a child hater, but i just don't get the appeal. and i find it hard to share, which makes me sound a bit pathological. so its always been a hard stop for me.
The older you get the more of a problem it becomes. Stay young psychologically speaking even if your body ages. . . . . .
To clarify my own comment, I can't handle kids. But I can play with kids on occasion. Temporarily. And someone else's. That's fun. Then when they are all wound up and full of piss and vinegar, you, as parents, can have them back. Thanks.
I'm in the same boat. I'm surprised at how many men 47 to 50 to have rather young kids. It's kind of a deal-breaker for me to think perhaps we could have a relationship when I'm 60+ and his kids are adults. I try to avoid the family oriented ones like the plague
Yeah at 31 it’s really hard to find people without kids. It’s so hard to hang out with a lot of my friends because the conversation inevitably turns to babies. The only kids I have to talk about are my students!
I've always found it hard to find people...no kids does make it harder.
I'm dating someone that's child free in his 40's, they are out there. Good luck.
You are not alone my friend. The reason I gave to my lawyer for ending an eleven year marriage was he wanted kids when I was 43 and I didn't. I joined a Childfree meetup group and Skye has a Childfree group on this forum that I highly recommend. I accidentally started one myself, but she beat me to it. She's hilarious.
There's another childfree group here? Could you please post it so I can join? Thanks!
@ArgosFriend Naw- I turned my group over to her... Better to let others take charge and do the work .
@UrsiMajor Oh, I misunderstood. Thought there was another group. Was this group originally yours then? Or, am I misunderstanding again?
