Democrats freaking out about Trump using tear gas seem to think this is a new, unique Trump phenomenon, and that defeating Trump in 2020 will somehow restore sanity to our government. It's the neoliberal version of Make America Great Again, both untethered from the reality that America has never been great, and certainly won't become great if left to the two major parties.
So prior administrations using tear gas makes it okay for the Trump administration to do it? I don't think so.
Blaming Obama or Clinton for something is just a deflection and distraction from Trump.
@jorj This is the point I attempted to make. I was not using the fact that we’ve been teargassing brown people for decades as a free pass for Trump to do it. Rather, to believe getting rid of Trump vs, recognizing America as a racist, capitalist nation that pits the powerful monied classes against the rest of us leaves us in the boat forever.
Republican voters: If we could just get rid of Obama everything would get back on track for the better.
Democrat voters: If we could just get rid of Trump everything would get back on track for the better.
Republican and Democrat politicians: Still waging wars for oil and the economy. Still bailing out corporations and handing them more and more money and deregulating them so they can take advantage of their workers and customers. Still giving the voters lip service on numerous issues. Still widening the gap between the rich and the middle class and poor. ADD ON AS SEEN FIT.
