That's a Republican talking point. It is false that Democrats dropped their opposition to illegal immigration. That's like trying to say the Democrats are now for illegal immigration.

And a rose is a rose is a rose. The video makes the legitimate point that illegal immigration benefits the Democratic Party in its current configuration. The classical liberal members of the party need to exert more influence on policy.

“The Democrats don’t care about workers.” Follow the money. Who got the tax cuts? It was the rich – not the working class.
Democrat politicians or Democrat voters? Tucker first says that Democrats don't support stopping illegal immigration anymore, but then goes on to say that the 2nd to last Democrat president opposed it and that the last Democrat president opposed it too. Obama actually deported more illegal immigrants than all the other presidents combined. He also factually points out that Hillary Clinton voted for a border fence in 2006 along with many other Democrat politicians. So how do they not oppose illegal immigration anymore? Besides, Democrats don't necessarily represent the left. There are moderate and conservative Democrats. As a matter of fact, they make up the majority of the Democratic Party. It's hardly "the left".

I hope that your viewpoint is correct. If it is, the Democratic Party would be wise to purge from its ranks the vociferous and powerful regressive leftists, thereby re-embracing classical liberalism. If not, the Dems will not regain control of government. The world will be stuck with DJT for four more years.
@jorj I think Warren also splits Bernie's vote totals in the primary this time around.
