I live in Grenada, MS. It’s about one and a half hours south of Southaven.

I'm was born in Pascagoula, MS. I lived in Brookhaven/Wesson, MS for the last 13 years. Murfreesboro, TN became my new home a week ago.

Cool! Except, damn, you moved lol

@ForesterJenny Thanks for the reply! Well, sorry...not sorry. Lol. MS is a cultural and economic vacuum that I am grateful to escape.

@HiFiGuy totally understand.

Although I now live in the Shenandoah Valley I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in a little town called Ocean Springs. Lots of crazy time canoeing the Wolfe river, hanging on the beach, crabbing and fishing in the black water of Davis bayou, and deep sea fishing off the barrier islands.

Atlanta - but I was stationed in Biloxi for 14 months - of course that was in the mid 1980s ?

Biloxi’s cool.

@ForesterJenny - I'd love to make a road trip. I know the route like the back of my hand. ?

Pretty far from here!

Earthquake!!!

@brainyactress I felt it. Didn't bother me at all. I live across the street from train tracks.

@ForesterJenny Just a five-hour drive. Probably makes a good weekend vacation.

I lived in Hattiesburg for a while.

I take it you escaped?

@ForesterJenny LOL Changed grad programs. USM was pretty progressive comparatively.

Yea, Mississippi’s college towns are always culturally ahead compared to the rest of the state, imagine that ?

North Alabama (soon to be)

Realist9 Level 6 Dec 12, 2018

Well that’s not too far depending on you’re on the east or west side. I could throw a rock and hit Alabama. I’m more centrally located but I love going to northwest Alabama for hiking when I can
